These are transcriptions that were sent to me by various friends and musicians. My hope is that this page grows to include jazz transcriptions of all instrumentalist not just saxophonist.
If you would like me to post transcriptions that you have done please send me an email with attached files. There are a few guidelines.
1. Solos should be in PDF format. If you don't have a PDF converter may I recommend PDF995. I've used this software for years and have always been happy with it. You can also send a high quality scan of the file and I'll convert it to PDF.
2. Hand written transcriptions are fine. If you want to use music notation software but don't want to shell out mega bucks for Finale or Sibelius I would recommend MuseScore. I've used it myself for a few transcriptions. It's a pretty robust program for basic notaion and best of all it's FREE!
3.It's great if solo transcriptions are from readily available recordings but if not, provide me with an MP3 audio file (or video link) so that the solo can be listened to. I'll post a 'listen only' link next to the transcription link.
4.Some people may want their transcriptions password protected so that they can't be printed out or altered. If you can't do this yourself I'd be willing to do it for you and provide you the password.
